KGS METALLIZED FABRICS FOR MULTICOLOUR FLOCKING
KGS Metallized Fabrics are high precision electrolytically metallized mesh fabrics made from low elongation monofilament polyester fibers, as commonly used - non metallized - for screen printing and flocking. For multicolor flocking, KGS Metallized Fabrics offer the following advantages:
• Conductive, hence no problems with electrostatics
In the case of multicolor flocking, the flock passes through the mesh much more easily than in the case of polyester fibers and stands vertically in the glue layer. The screen does not clog up.
• No clogging of the screens Hence less down-time of the machine
• Much higher damage tolerance than mesh made from stainless steel
More flocking cycles, less down time. Handling becomes easier
• Excellent dimensional stability
Warp and weft are firmly bound together by the metal layer
• High abrasion resistance
The antistatic properties are maintained over a long time. Decoating is easy.
• Good adhesion of most stencil emulsions
• Since the base material for KGS Metallized Fabrics are high modulus/low elongation polyester fibers, usual stretching and processing parameters can be used to a large extent.
• Typical mesh count: 24/cm
